Cylichna Earrings
The ancient tradition of adornment is closely linked to the human desire to reflect and honor the beauty of the natural world around us.
These 22k gold earrings are based on an ancient pair excavated on Cyprus, their form recalling the small cylichna shell.
Cyprus was known as the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. In myth, she emerged from sea foam and rode ashore on a shell — forever linking seashells with beauty in the ancient world.
Each earring is delicately formed from hand-milled gold sheet and shaped by hand, with 20k ear wires.
Approximately 1 1/8” long (including ear wire) and 5/8” wide.
Made to order with a 4-6 week lead time.
