Amphora Pearl Pendant
Pendants of gray South Sea pearls replicate the elegant shape of the amphora, an ancient vessel used by the Greeks and Romans to transport and store wine and other valuable contents, such as oils and perfumes. These vessels have a rounded base and a narrow neck, often flanked by two handles. The amphora shape featured as a symbol of abundance and prosperity in ancient jewelry. The pendants are made with gray South Sea pearls on a solid gold bail, handmade and cast in 20k gold. The large pendant is approximately 1” long (including bail) and 1/2" wide, and the medium pendant is approximately 3/4" long and x 3/8” wide.
